I am now drawing and coloring with a muse on the computer, and I'm starting to get used to it. =) I'll see if I can animate with it.

Dear Nintendo,

First and foremost, I would like to say that I have and will always be a huge fan of you.  Mario, Zelda, Kirby, Donkey Kong, Star Fox, Pokemon, F-Zero, Kid Icarus, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, are all franchises that many gamers (myself included) consider to be the best in business. When a new Nintendo game is announced whether it be on a portable or a home console I'm always looking forward to playing it. Not only do you have strong IP's but they also have a high replay value. I can't really tell you how many times I have played Star Fox 64 on the 3DS. The same goes with Kid Icarus Uprising, Super Mario 3d Land, Ocarina of time 3D, and Mario Kart 7. However, there are two guys I want to talk about. They were featured in Smash Bros Brawl, but they didn't get games on the Wii. I'm talking about  Fox McCloud  and Captain Falcon. How come these guys haven't made a return? Pit was treated very well on the 3DS but, no new Star Fox or F-Zero has come out yet.  I recall Shigeru Miyamoto saying that he wanted to see a new Star Fox on the Wii U and even a designer at Platinum Games wants to make a new Star Fox. I ask you to let that happen.  It would be cool to see the Star Fox team fire up the Arwings again.

One of my favorite characters from the Mario series is Luigi, but while 2013 is the year of ghost hunting brother, 2013 is not the year of the Wii U. It had a cool start in 2012 yeah, but after that I heard nothing but bad news about the console. Games like Rayman Legends and Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge were thought to be exclusives to the Wii U but they eventually went multiplatform, sales for it were not that great, developers and gamers were just bashing the console left and right, and game analysts were predicting that you would become a software company that would develop games for "real next gen consoles."  I'm among those who believe that once you release games Like Super Mario 3d World, Windwaker HD, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, and Mario Kart 8, the Wii U will get itself off of the ground just like the 3DS which was also "SUPPOSED to fail" but we all saw how that turned out and to be honest, the Xbox One makes me feel a whole lot better about the Wii U.

One last thing, my good friend told me that the Wii U is mostly good for Nintendo games and you know what, I'm just fine with that. I think it's cool when Nintendo consoles have a few exclusives like Viewtiful Joe on the gamecube, Madworld and Tatsunoko vs Capcom on the Wii and Bayonetta 2 and the Wonderful 101 on the Wii U. I really want to see more Nintendo games on the Wii U because they look great in HD, and you have proven that with Mario Kart 8, and Super Smash Bros 4. Also, what makes me a fan of your franchises is the chances that you take with them. Super Mario RPG is considered to be a treasure from Square Enix, Intelligent Systems continued that success with the Paper Mario series, and Alpha Dreams did the Bros of gaming justice with the Mario and Luigi series. While it is kind of sad that they're dead now, Hudson Soft made good Mario Party games.  Capcom made some pretty good Zelda games with Oracle of Ages, Oracle of Seasons and The Minish Cap. Treasure treated Wario good with Wario World. I wasn't really a fan of first person shooters, so when I saw Metroid Prime I was turned off, and then I popped the disc in the gamecube and started replaying it again. Retro Studios did a great job with the Metroid series, and considering how well received Donkey Kong Country Returns was, it looks like Tropical Freeze is gonna be  great. Team Ninja did Metr…..okay I'll admit Metroid Other M was a miss. Regardless, it was a different take on the series that I was interested in. What I'm trying to say here is if you do make partnerships with other publishers or developers, why not give them a shot at one of your own IP's?  Let Ubisoft take a chance at Donkey Kong or Kirby, let's see what Square Enix could do with Zelda or Fire Emblem, give a Mario title to someone like…….well Sega, Platinum Games really wants to make Star Fox, Capcom makes good fighters and though it sounds outrageous it would be cool to see what the company could do with Smash Bros. And no, I wouldn't mind seeing Team Ninja take another chance at Metroid despite what happened with Other M. Risks are scary to take and while we do lose with some of them, mistakes are made to learn from. As a great person once put it, learning why we lost is more important than winning.

Sincerely, a fan that will always support you,

Nathan Brooks
